After the first round of UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League fixtures, I published a full benchmarking of every relevant Stathead metric and introduced a few NBA-style statlines to watch out for.
Instead of cataloguing every single metric in the article, I am diving straight into the watchlist concept. But you can be sure I have been through every single metric myself.
Each night of UEFA Champions League action features nine games. So, I am going to select one early kick-off and two late kick-offs to narrow down your choice.
For the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League bonanza on Thursday, I will provide three matches for each time slot split across both competitions.
Before we start, here are some formalities:
Unless stated, match records will refer to the highest single-game tally recorded by a player under the age of 23 - U23 - across UEFA’s three senior men’s competitions in 2024/25.
Unless stated, season totals refer to all players born in 2001 or later and the shorthand will be 01+. This ensures that all player age information is correct when taking a screenshot of FBref tables and Stathead queries.
The shorthand for these three competitions are UCL (UEFA Champions League), UEL (UEFA Europa League), and UECL (UEFA Conference League).
All stats correct as of the day before publishing, unless otherwise noted.
