SCOUTED XI: Our UEFA U-19 EURO Team of the Tournament
A team of outstanding performers in Northern Ireland, compiled by SCOUTED.
Spain are the dominant force in international football right now. Both their mens and womens teams are winning tournaments every year at pretty much every age group.
That dominance is no more obvious than it is in the UEFA U-19 European Championships. A day prior to Spain winning their record-extending twelfth men’s U-19 EURO title, the women’s won their record-equalling sixth. That’s on top of every other international title they’ve won in recent years. It’s as remarkable as it is exceptional.
Anyone that followed our group stage coverage will have known that we thought Italy were pretty much nailed on to win this tournament — but, as is often the case in youth football, unexpected things happen.
Spain were interesting winners because this wasn’t a classic Spain team. We’re used to seeing them dominate possession and territory, but this group played a bit more pragmatically, lead by the multi-faceted Iker Bravo.

Anyway, let’s get onto what you’re here for. Given the bitesize nature of the tournament, we’re just doing the starting XI this time — no substitutes’ bench, and definitely no Alternative Teams of the Tournament. Just eleven of our standout performers in Northern Ireland.
A special mention to our very own Stevie also, who did much of the coverage of this tournament despite it being like 4am in Melbourne when the games were on. He’s a freak.
