I’ll cut to the chase. We’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring our brand new print magazine, SCOUTED, to life.

As many of you know, our print publication - The Scouted Football Handbook - was discontinued in 2021. We’ve spent the time since then regrouping, learning, and researching. We care so much about our work in print and know hundreds of you do, too - we couldn’t let it die without giving it one last try.

But one last try required a model that would allow us to be sustainable and deliver a premium, much-improved new product.

After months of planning, we’ve landed on crowdfunding.

Without further ado, I’d like to introduce you to the campaign to revive Scouted’s print journalism: SCOUTED001.

What is SCOUTED?

SCOUTED is our rebranded print offering. It’s bigger, bolder and more beautiful than any Handbook, but retains what you loved about SFHB: including in-depth player profiles, improved and revamped.

• 001’s theme is ENZO, CHAMPION OF THE WORLD: we’re writing four long-form pieces on the Argentinian’s rise, the clubs that shaped his story and the historic World Cup victory in Qatar.

• 001 will contain more art, more photos, more writing and more pages than any previous Handbook.

• We’ve worked hard to improve the quality of our printing, meaning 001 will look better than ever on your shelves or coffee tables.

• Supporting us at CLUB EDITION or above will get you a complimentary paid subscription here on Notebook, meaning you can access all the excellent writing and coverage exclusive to paid subscribers.

How does crowdfunding work?

You pick a reward tier you’re comfortable with, and ‘pledge’ funds.

If, after a month, we reach our funding goal, you’ll be charged and we’ll get to work producing our best magazine ever. If we don’t, you won’t owe us anything.

If successful, we’ll keep you up-to-date with every step of production via in-depth updates and behind-the-scenes news, so you know exactly how your money is helping us produce something amazing.
